The four things that actually move the number
First, whether the existing lines can be followed. A legible layout is a free drawing, and losing it is the single biggest price difference between a restripe and a relayout.
Second, surface condition. A lot that needs scrubbing, oil treatment or sealer-bloom removal before paint carries preparation time that a clean lot does not.
Third, access. A lot that has to stay open and be painted in sections across three visits costs more than the same lot handed over empty on a Sunday, because mobilisation happens three times.
Fourth, whether anything is being corrected. Re-setting accessible stalls, moving a fire lane or changing circulation brings in setting out, and usually removal of the markings being abandoned.
